Chennai Petroleum Corporation Limited (CPCL) – Cauvery Basin Refinery (CBR), located at Panangudi,  Nagore,  Nagapattinam  District intends to engage  Trade and  Technician Apprentices  under  the Apprentices  Act  1961  purely for one year Apprenticeship Training. 

Candidate should  not  have experience of  one year  or more / undergone / undergoing 

similar training in any organization.  Candidates passed out in the year 2009 onwards are 

eligible to apply.  Further,  candidates belonging to Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry and Karaikal 

only are eligible to apply.

Interested candidates should submit their application strictly  ONLINE by 

logging on to our website www.cpcl.co.in and click on the link ‘People & Career’  between 

07.01.2013 and 23.01.2013.  On submission of application through online, the applicant 

could  print  out  a  Registration Slip  for their  record.    Applications  will  not  be accepted 

through any other mode. 

Selection Methodology:

Selection will be based on the percentage of marks scored by the

candidates in the relevant qualifying exam.  In case of more than one candidate scoring the

same percentage of marks at the cut-off level, candidate who has secured higher marks in 

SSLC/Matric examination will be considered.  If the marks secured in both the examinations 

are equal,  candidate  whoever is senior as per the date of  birth  will be considered.  

Reservation for SC/ST/OBC candidates will be as per the Apprentices Act. 

Scrutiny of Certificates:

Candidates in the ratio of 1:5  in the order of merit will be called to come in person along with  the Registration Slip  and  the supporting  documents of their certificates for verification to ascertain the eligibility criteria.  The candidates must bring the attested copies of the following certificates at the time of scrutiny, without fail: 

•10th pass mark sheet 
•+2 pass mark sheet 
•Provisional Certificate (Diploma – for technician Apprentices and NTC (ITI)- for Trade    
Apprentices) 
•Consolidated Mark list of Diploma (all 6 semesters) 
•Community Certificate (for SC, ST & OBC) 
•Transfer Certificate 
•Physically Disability Certificate (if applicable) 

The list of the candidates to be called for the scrutiny of certificates will be displayed on our 

website on 28.01.2013.
